Hey everyone! Time for another sneak peek into what’s coming in the next Kamogawa Island update: V0.1.2. Progress has been strong, and we’ve got some juicy additions already locked in.

What’s Completed So Far:

Vanessa's New Management System (Complete)

The new Vanessa interface is now complete. You can change her outfits, go on dates, snap pictures, or let her rest when she’s tired. These options are part of a stat-based gameplay loop. As her follower count increases, you’ll unlock two new exclusive events, including a new NSFW scene. The idea is to add more in the future!

Jessie – Two New Affection Events (Complete)

Jessie’s latest content includes two new affection events—one of which features her first NSFW scene. She’ll confront you about something you didn’t think she even knew.

Gallery System (Complete)

A proper gallery has been implemented so you can replay the picture you snapped or picture you received via message at any time from the PC in your bedroom. Right now it is heavily unbalanced with Vanessa taking up 14 pages of the gallery, future updates will make sure to balance things out.

Affection UI Overhaul (Complete)

Sunday Movie Night

I’m currently working on individual Sunday Movie Night events for each girl. These scenes will explore their personalities, dynamics, and relationship progression in new and intimate ways. Including NSFW scenes.

Zoe – New Affection Events

Zoe’s next events is deep in development. It’s going to show off more of her emotional layers—jealous, flustered, and maybe just a little too honest when caught off guard.

Important Note: Save File Compatibility

Due to some rookie developer mistakes on my part, all saves made in versions of Kamogawa Island prior to 0.1.2 will unfortunately no longer be compatible. I’m really sorry about this. That said, the good news is that Ren'Py's auto-skip feature makes it easy to breeze through previous chapters if you want to pick up where you left off. I’ll also provide you with the updated Walkthrough PDF file.

On the bright side, the script has been polished, with improved grammar and clearer phrasing across multiple scenes, making for a smoother, more immersive read. (Thanks, Outgo!)

Kamogawa Island v0.1.2 is aimed to release it sometime in July.
